In the city of Avondale, KSS is funding a new program which will take the KSS model to several school districts in the Valley west of Phoenix around the town of Avondale. Phoenix Children’s Hospital is the community partner in this effort. Rather than working with one school district, this implementation will focus on schools within several smaller school districts across Avondale and will leverage town resources and activities such as those of the city parks and recreation department. In its first year, the program will target, 3-5 schools, 300-500 kids and 90 parents.
